Grant Holdren, CFP®, CLU®
President, 2017-2020, 2022-2025 Five Star Wealth Manager
2023 & 2024 Cambridge Investment Research "Circle of Excellence"
If you’ve ever felt like your financial advisor was more focused on your portfolio than on you — you’re not alone. Grant Holdren built his entire practice around a different belief: that before any plan can work, a person must feel genuinely heard, understood, and cared for. Not as an account but as a human being. That’s not a tagline for Grant; it’s the standard he holds himself to every single day.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Life Underwriter®, Grant brings more than 20 years of experience to every conversation. But what his clients often say they notice first isn’t his credentials — it’s that he listens. Not to formulate a response, but to understand what you’re really carrying: the hopes, the fears, the uncertainty that doesn’t always fit neatly into a spreadsheet.
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, trying to make sense of competing financial priorities, or simply wondering if you’re going to be okay, Grant meets you where you are. He knows that behind every financial question is a real person trying to protect what matters most to them.
Grant lives in Flourtown, PA with his wife, Jennifer — whom he met at the University of Richmond — their two children, and their boxer, Tank. Family is the organizing principle of his life outside work, and nowhere is that more visible than on the baseball and softball field. Currently he coaches his daughter at Springfield Little League. He also coached baseball and basketball at his alma mater, Holy Ghost Preparatory School, and he carries that same investment in young people into everything he does with his own children. For Grant, coaching isn’t about winning — it’s about teaching kids to stay in the game when things get hard. His clients would say he brings that same philosophy to financial planning.
Away from the field, Grant is on a self-improvement kick that most people can relate to. He’s working on becoming a genuinely good cook and is determined to learn at least one musical instrument, though he hasn’t committed to which one yet. Suggestions are welcome. He’s also an avid reader (even if reading means listening to the audiobook), and he approaches books the way he approaches his clients: with genuine curiosity and a desire to understand more deeply. Reading, for Grant, isn’t passive — it’s how he stays connected to ideas, to perspectives different from his own, and to the kind of human wisdom that doesn’t come from television or movies. It’s a habit that keeps him sharp, empathetic, and continually growing, both as an advisor and as a person.
At his core, Grant Holdren is someone who chose this profession not because of the financial markets, but because of the people. Twenty years in, that hasn’t changed. For Grant, the greatest measure of a plan’s success has never been the return on investment. It’s whether the person sitting across from him feels less afraid, more confident, and truly taken care of.
Grant holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations along with his Life and Health Insurance licenses.
